Our Unique Journey

My parents came to the United States on an American ship from Bremerhaven. They met a day before arriving in New York. Back in 1955, immigrants had to have a sponsor in the USA. They each had one in Cleveland and one in Philadelphia. Tante Wilma was a really nice lady with some cats. We lived a few houses down from Lake Erie and I am the youngest of four.

My sister is alive, my brother Herbi died with FTD (after a hearty meal and a heart attack). It was his final reward, so to speak. One of his favorite tunes was Cinnamon Girl by Type-O Negative. We loved music and I was alone in our apartment a lot with some fine audio equipment. My music means a lot to me. Personally, I loves me a great drummer. Like Ginger Baker for instance. I digress. My brother in Idaho might be a proud boy, dunno, but he has a lot of firearms. The whole family does out there, for generations. Us boys are all veterans, Herbi is back home already. ...
